Mark S. Schubert, MD, PhD

Dr. Schubert was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. He graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Microbiology, then obtained both MD and PhD degrees from the University of Arizona School of Medicine in Tucson. His PhD is in Molecular Biology with research in immunology. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency in the Good Samaritan/Phoenix VA Integrated Internal Medicine Residency Program, then completed his Subspecialty/Fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at Stanford University School of Medicine.

Since 1989, Dr. Schubert has been in private practice in Adult and Pediatric Allergy, Asthma and Immunology here at the Allergy Asthma Clinic, Ltd. in Phoenix, AZ. He has been a recipient of the Phoenix Magazine “Best Doctors” 16 times and “Best Doctors in America” 8 times, amongst other national rankings. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He has authored over 40 abstracts and publications in the field, including book chapters, and lectured throughout the country. His recent research interests have focused on chronic allergic inflammatory respiratory disorders.

Dr. Schubert and his wife Mary have two great kids that make him proud every day. Other interests include exercise, golf, music, and rose gardening.

Bart Leyko, MD

Dr. Leyko was born and raised in Poland. He obtained his degree in Biology at University of California, Riverside. He attended Jagiellonian University, College of Medicine in Krakow, Poland, followed by internal medicine training at Michigan State University. He completed his Allergy and Immunology fellowship in State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Dr. Leyko conducted clinical research during his fellowship and authored several abstracts and articles. He is currently a medical director of Allergy Asthma Clinic and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine. He is actively involved in education of medical students, residents and the community. His dedication to his patients earned him a multitude of awards including Patient's Choice, Most Compassionate Doctor, Super Doctor and America's Top Physician.

Dr. Leyko is married and enjoys coaching sports to his two sons. In his free time he likes to ride his mountain bike, compose music and travel.



Sam Ahn, MD

Dr. Ahn was raised in the New York City area. He graduated from John Hopkins University with a degree in Biology. He then received his MD from Harvard Medical School and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Yale in Connecticut. He completed his Allergy & Immunology Fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. During his fellowship, he authored several abstracts and scientific papers relating to both food allergies as well as Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID).

 Dr. Ahn has a special interest in volunteering his medical services throughout his career and has volunteered in medical clinics in various countries in Africa, as well as refugee clinics and free clinics here in the US. He is the recipient of “America's Top Physicians” numerous years.  He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at U of A College of Medicine. 

 He and his wife, Michelle, have a rescue Beagle named George. Other interests include music, art, traveling and photography. 

 

Edward Chu, MD

Dr. Chu was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in biophysics. He then received his MD from the UCLA School of Medicine and his residency in Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut Health Center. He completed his fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.

After working full-time at the Allergy Asthma Clinic for over 25 years, he is now working part-time, which allows him to pursue his other interests, particularly travel.
